 | Sunset Captiva Captiva and Sanibel Islands, with lush tropical vegetation and cooled by gentle sea breezes, are located in the Gulf of Captiva Retreat (47 Sunset Captiva) is 2,200 sf with 2 private bedrooms, den with sleeper sofa, loft with single bed, and 3 full bathrooms. It comfortably houses 6 or 7 guests. It's 300 yards to the beach, 200 yards to the pool and tennis, along our very private road. It's fully climate controlled with a very large screened porch, private sundeck, great kitchen, and all the amenities for a great vacation.
Everything in the Village of Captiva is an easy walk from our homes. The beach, pool, and tennis courts, the general store, shops, and twelve restaurants, ranging from casual to fine dining. If you bring your boat, we have free docks, or The Sunset Captiva community has direct access to the Gulf of Mexico beach, about a 300 yard walk from our homes along our very private road. The beach is wide, clean, and sandy, and has a world famous variety of sea shells. Our homes come furnished with beach chairs and beach towels, plus an assortment of beach toys for the children. It's an island tradition to join your neighbors on the beach at sunset, hoping to see the famous "green flash."
Our large, heated, community swimming pool is just as popular as the beach. There's lots of space for both adults and kids, with comfortable lounge chairs and clean rest rooms provided. Behind the pool are our two first-class tennis courts, which never seem to be crowded. Also here are our community gas barbecue grills, lighted for evening use. The pool is open dawn to dusk, but no lifeguard is provided.

Mexico, over the causeway from Ft. Myers, Florida. Sunset Captiva is a private community of free-standing homes with direct access to the Gulf Beach, which is clean and sandy, with lots of shells. Sunset Captiva also features a large heated community swimming pool, boat docks, tennis courts, and BBQ grills. 
at Jensen's Marina right across the street, you can rent a boat for fishing or exploring, or hire a water taxi to give you the grand tour.
